Respondus LockDown Browser LDB is a secure browser that allows teachers to administer tests and quizzes on Canvas while also preventing students from printing, copying, going to other websites, or accessing other applications.
At the start of exams, Respondus Monitor asks students to confirm their identity and verify the appropriateness of their testing environment.
During the exam, Respondus Monitor records the student's webcam. This recording is examined by a Respondus' artificial intelligence AI to generate an integrity report. Only students need to download the LockDown Browser. Students should refer to the Respondus LockDownBrowser article for download instructions. Chromebooks managed by K12 can also use the Respondus Monitor feature only if the LockDown Browser Chromebook "extension" is installed.
To install the extension on the Chromebook, open the Chrome browser, and navigate to this URL , which will redirect to the Chrome web store, where you'll see the extension and be able to apply it.
