DaDa require that you work at least 10 hours a month, which is very low in this industry! You will pick these after you have passed the demo class, when you are in the process of signing a contract. You can also change these later with a bit of notice. On the other hand, you gain the extra flexibility. Time off can be taken without penalty as long as you give 24 hours advance notice for short term leave and at least 15 days for longer things like holidays.
Before you can begin working for DaDa, you must apply and go through several stages Obviously the first thing you have to do is sign up by visiting the DaDaABC apply page and filling in some basic details.
After this, expect all the standard application form information alongside uploading your resume, a picture and an introduction video. As well as the usual questions, you will be provided with some mock class slides in advance which you will be expected to demonstrate your teaching style with.
Already wearing a blue DaDa shirt, having a good environment and making sure your equipment and connection are up to scratch will help a lot here. To ensure that teachers are able to deliver a quality service to the students, you will have to undergo a systems check with the IT department. They will make sure that your computer is powerful enough to run the classes using either the app or Google Chrome. Because they will be judging video and audio quality, make sure that you have your proper headset and lighting setup for this.
You will also have to undergo an internet speed test where they will check to make sure it is fast and reliable enough to teach on, so turn off all your downloads and make sure no one in the house is streaming video or downloading stuff while this is happening!

Your formal time slots are fixed classes that you have with regular students.
Your extra time slots can be added and canceled weekly. What I like to do is book my formal classes each week 6pm-9pm Monday to Friday. You can take off 2 days per month at most, so make sure you can set a schedule that you think will work for you. I only received a penalty once or twice for not showing up for a class. This happened because I forgot about some extra time slots I set up, so be careful. Your extra time slots carry forward to the next week and may be booked by a student. Always make sure to cancel them if you cannot attend. There are times that technical difficulties may cause you to miss, or be late for, a class. You can take a photo as proof when something like this happens. Explain your situation via email to ensure you do not receive a penalty.
